Infrastructure at JNV Longowal
Laboratories : Our Science Laboratories are well
equipped, furnished and maintained .Their hallmarks are
interactive boards, projectors, gadgets ,models , displays etc
.There are separate labs for Physics ,Chemistry, Biology , Maths
, Geography and a Junior Science Lab as well .Our students are
given maximum exposure to the world of Physical And Social
Sciences .
Computer Room :The Vidyalaya can boast of an
excellent computer room where students work on the
wonder-machines .Beginning from projects-making and extended to
other areas , students are keen on getting knowledge and skill
that will help them in their future. There are forty working
computers with the facility of Broad Band and V SAT .
Smart Class Room : The smart class room is another
speciality of JNV Longowal .Our teachers make use of ICT in
Teaching Learning Process .It is donned with an interactive
board ,huge sized telescreen ,projectors etc .Teaching here
becomes a pleasure able process .
Separate Dining Halls : Students have well
furnished separate dining halls where they take their meals
.Our dining system exhibits our belief system ,morality and
discipline .Children have meals under the supervision of
teachers and house masters .The halls have wonderful thoughts
carrying the ancient wisdom of the east and the west , and it
increases the taste and worth of food . It is no less that a
place of worship where hunger is appeased.
Hostels for Boys and Girls :Dorms are home away
from home where tender hearts learns self reliance , tolerance
,fellow feeling and the feeling of unity .Here foundation is
provided for a successful life .Its prominent characteristic is
the homely atmosphere .Our dorms are decorated, furnished and
give a peep into the mental make up of our students .Here
characters are made for life time .
Dispensary for Students :The vidyalaya feels pride
in having three dispensaries ,one for boys ,the other for girls
and another in the academic block .Sick Students are provided
first aid round the clock and others having serious illnesses
are taken to Hospitals . Our dispensary has certain life
support systems .Our vidyalaya is availing the services of a
doctor from CHC Longowal . The health relating issues of
students are monitored regularly .
NSS NCC and Scouts & Guides : In recent times
when the values are in liquid form ,these are playing a pivotal
role in providing a sort of stability and developing core values
in students .Their role is regular in the diurnal activities of
vidyalaya . Our Vidyalaya has trained NCC & NSS officers and a
separate Scout & Guide master .
Play Fields in Vidyalaya : We have separate and
distinct play grounds for boys and girls .Our students have made
their way to many international ,national and state level
competitions , and have brought laurels to the vidyalaya
.Students exert and make their bodies fit in the gymnasium .
Our Class Rooms : These are the virtual places
where destines are made .We have furnished , ventilated ,
illuminated and decorated class rooms .Special efforts are made
for making them presentable .We develop a sense of belongingness
in students towards their class rooms and vidyalaya .We have
thirteen class rooms that speak volumes about the success
stories of our students .
Rajiv Gandhi Samriti Van : We dedicate this to
our beloved founder . Its maintenance is our chief concern .It
reminds one of the sylvan atmosphere with presence of numerous
birds etc .Here , we plant saplings and flowering plants .
NSS Park : It is a an added glory to the plume of
our vidyalaya .The unutilised land was developed and transformed
miraculously into a marvel .It provides a look of well managed
park which is used by students and the visitors .
Staff Quarters :The vidyalaya has ample staff
quarters which overlook the grand academic block and playfield
.They are well maintained . The staff members feel a special
bonding with them .
Our Asset : The Vidyalaya has sprawling campus on
19 acres ,1 kanal and 18 marlas of land .Its upkeep is our
chief objective , and we strive for it day in and day out .
Principal Office: Our work culture begins from
here; it is one of the vibrant features of our institution .One
gets the microcosm of vidyalaya ,and it reflects our vidyalaya
at its very best .
Our Vidyalaya Office: It is another significant
place of JNV Longowal .Things ,here, are in apple pie order ,
and it works as the window betwixt outside world and the
vidyalaya itself .
Library :We have a well stocked and maintained
library . Bulletin Board which provides knowledge of currents
events ,career opportunities is another speciality of our
library .
Vice Principal Office :The vidyalaya has another
important place in this office which has significance in
working of our vidyalaya .
Staff Room :This place appears at its best when
teachers have discussion on matters relating academics .It is
one of the significant places of our vidyalaya .
Over head Water Tank :It is the life line of our
vidyalaya .The habit of saving water is inculcated in students
.It is the treasure house of our well being .
Guest House :The guest house of vidyalaya is
furnished with ultra modern facilities , and it exhibits our
sense of hospitality that we feel for our guests .Our endeavour
is to give our guest a home like atmosphere .
Generator :The vidyalaya owns a generator that
provides power when electricity goes for a ride .It caters to
our requirements and its maintenance remains our prime concern
.
Multi Purpose Hall :It is another significant
place of our institution .Various programmes like cultural ,
ancillary activities ,and guest lectures are organised here .
We begin our day with morning assembly from here .It is
virtually the place where orators , singers ,danseuses are
groomed .
Art Room and Music Room : These places will
transport one in other world and a person with true aesthetics
will be pleased .The atmosphere becomes heavenly with
multicoloured exhibits , and the melodies coming from the music
room are wondrous . |
